Westerly Lake Fishery

Westerly Lake is a landscaped 1.5 acre spring-fed lake, stocked with a wide variety of coarse fish.  There are carp to over 27 lbs, with plenty in the 6 to 15 lbs range.  There are chub to 6 lbs, perch to 4 lbs, bream and tench to over 4 lbs, and large numbers of roach, gudgeon, and crucean carp.  There are no matches on the lake, and keepnets are not allowed. Fishery open all year.

Westerly Lake Fishery Rules

Fishing is for over 16s only;

Fishing 7am to sunset, no night fishing;

Barbless hooks only;

No fixed rigs;

No braided hook links;

Boilies:-no more than 1kg per angler;

Fish must only be ‘wet handled’ no dry mats or towels.

Groundbait in feeders and pole cups only;

Catfood on hooks only;

No keepnets;

No fish to be taken away from the fishery;

Surplus bait must not be dumped in the lake.

No spodding, no baitboats.
